Our Shared Values

These values were developed by the organizing collective in spring 5785.

    • Creating vibrant Jewish ritual and learning opportunities from an anti-Zionist framework, rooted in diaspora.

    • Through connection and ritual, reimagining Jewish community outside of current hegemonic frameworks.

    • Reimagining Jewish tradition to fit our spiritual yearnings and our need for collective healing and transformation.

    • Creating pathways into ritual leadership that are inclusive and exciting, and creates a growing and diverse bench of leaders with a wide range of ritual styles, and supporting emergent offerings from many leaders.

    • Animated by Jewish diasporic experience, histories, cultural memories & values, practicing global and local solidarity, and struggling together towards liberation for all people, including a free Palestine.

    • Developing diasporic, queer, and anti-Zionist ritual, as well as Jewish spiritual community and home, rooted in a vision of collective liberation.

    • We recognize that Jews are a multi-racial, multi-ethnic people from a variety of diasporas and histories.

    • Working towards a multi-racial Jewish community through building culture and practices of radical hospitality, welcome, and care for each other.

    • Wrestling with the racism of white dominant Jewish culture and working to uproot racism and white supremacy in our organizing.

    • Commitment to creating deeply accessible spaces, as an ongoing process without a finish line.

    • Creating multi-modal, creative, evolving Judaism by balancing autonomous and independent organizing with coordinated programs and events.

    • Communicating information to our community about liberation struggles, with a specific focus on solidarity with Palestine and building Judaism beyond Zionism.

    • Creating a culture that is creative, scrappy, independent, non-subservient, and puts values over money.

    • Collective decision making and power holding that allows people to create, lead, and evolve, both organizationally and in the ritual that we practice.

    • Honoring diaspora and the land we live on by rooting in place, celebrating our many cultures and the people of other cultural traditions who live here, and connecting to the wisdom of the earth.
